Bright new day, new opportunities to go through more Hair Fair demos, and...wait.

(from the bizarre album)

I tracked down the latest Nirans Viewer, downloaded it, installed it, logged in, and half of me was missing from the initial rez. That wasn't good, so I decided to try and find an older version.

Turns out NiranV has been releasing viewers designed for both 64x and 32x systems. My system is rigged for 32x, not 64x, and I'm fairly sure I'd been downloading 64x viewers prior to this (even though both the borrowed laptop and my old computer were rigged for 32x only.)

So...I deleted that version, scaled back to 1.45 for 32x systems, and installed it.

And got this. Oh, it's going to be a fun day already, I can tell.

Also, this is going to be the last entry. Tomorrow, I'm out on errands, so I may not even be in for wandering around normally, let alone snapping lots of pics.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is Ploom's "Neopunk" in blonde (out of the box). I'm not entirely sure why this style is called "Neopunk", but it's pretty. Good flow, rezzes in rather beautifully over the head, and then drapes down strand by strand until it's properly seated.

(from the Hair Fair album)

There's an included color HUD in the demo box, allowing for changing to five separate colors. Changing is strand by strand, but quick--this is the style in ginger-red.

Overall, it's a messy, wavy mesh style, with lots of weight. It moves really well through most of my animations (even if my animations are back to stuttering, AGAIN, it still looks good).

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is Ploom's "Aternia" style in brown. This is more of a close-up than I usually do because the curl detail was so phenomenal, plus, it repeats in a visual link across the forehead as the curving bangs.

Two more styles were included but are not shown.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is Sugarsmack's "Elan" braided style. It's gorgeous, flattering, the wisps along the temples and the sides of the head add depth and realism. Really, really well done.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is the back of the hair, showing the interwoven braid and the texturing.

(from the Hair Fair album)

And this is the hair shown without my skin. Why does this keep happening??

Well, at least it still looks good on the inside?

Three other styles were included but weren't shown. You can find them in Sand for one more day, then Hair Fair's gone.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is the "Jazy" hair from [sYs], in dark red with the black metal/pearlized haircap over a shaved-layer hairbase. Very unusual, but very attractive.

Two other styles were in the demo box, but weren't shown.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is the "Alila" style in "darkgrey" from Tekeli-li. It's a vaguely Asianesque fantasy style, with a surfeit of hair pins and a jeweled cap adornment on the top of the scalp.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is the same hair, in "ashblonde", from behind and slightly above, with the addition of the ornate mesh knife. Other than the fact that it's beautiful, there's something else very relevant about this hair: it's 27 prims. Sure, okay, it's mesh, and people who can't see mesh won't see your hair, but I'm long past accustomed to Tekeli-li hair clocking in around 300 prims. For something this ornate and detailed to be only 27 prim-weight is amazing to me.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is the "Crystalic" hair in black; on the actual purchased hair all metals and all crystals will have color- or texture-changing scripts.

(from the Hair Fair album)

And this is "Pnom", which I think would be ideal for post-apocalyptic or futuristic sims. It's stunningly original.

One other style was in the demo box but was not shown. You can find Tekeli-li's booth in Garden.

I may try for one more entry later on because I still have so much to go through--but if I don't, then this really is it. There's barely a day left, so if you've been waiting to go to Hair Fair, go now.

(What I'm wearing: SN@TCH's "Plaid Poppet" minidress, the "Utopia" eyes in Dark Red (size L) from IKON [Marketplace link], DV8's "Morrigan" ankle boots in Blood [sadly no longer available], and cStar Limited's "Miss Leo 2012" gacha skin in Satin Natural. [Note: there's a round of 26 skins in all on the roof of the store, they're currently L$15 each, but that's going to go up by L$1 each day until the promotion is over.]

(And the Windlight setting is "Realistic Tone Mapping".)
