hear her sing; hell-frozen rain falls down

So, Hair Fair's open...I know, I know, I'm usually posting things before now, and my only excuse is that it's been a very stressful week so far. When things are this high-stress, I have a very low frustration limit, and Niran's viewer, this entire week, has seen fit to host me as a bobbing white cloud. Rather than track down the fix, I've honestly been logging in, grabbing the hair demo boxes, and logging right the hell out again.

I've been trying to fix the problem since, oh, around eleven yesterday morning. Finally, I gutted out all copies of any SL viewer from both drives, deleted everything I could track down, and reinstalled the viewer from scratch. (There's been a new release as of yesterday, which--if I'd looked at the Niran viewer's page at all, I might have figured out--may have been part of the problem in the first place.)

I had this mad thought to cover the demos alphabetically, but I seem to be missing a couple, so...it's going to be general groups, I'm afraid. Plus--for added fun and excitement--I flipped to a couple stores to see if they had re-delivery kiosks out, and then couldn't get back home. For all of yesterday. And--until now--all of today.

So, because I have things to do this evening, the Hair Fair coverage is going to be postponed for yet another day. I'll get through what I can, and post as quickly as I can get the entries canned, but...yeah. I'm way, way, way behind.
How'ver, I did go to Hair Fair itself earlier. It's a clean, uncluttered build, with lovely details in muted palettes. I also bought my first hair of the Hair Fair season, and this is why. The Phoenix? It is mine. Or at least the intense reds. Being mesh rigged hair, of course, I am going to need to modify my shape so that the rigging curves over the shoulder properly. But I like it, it rezzes in really fast, and it's excellently shaded, so yay for that.
