So those who do not have these issues are faced with the same consequence.. And so we slowly slide into a society of "If they can't have it, nobody can have it. Of course the discussion will be "but it's gambling" well, I bet more people lose a lot more money on lottery tickets than gambling on gacha's, (In 2016, people spent $73.5 billion just on lottery tickets) just a thought.

[10:55] axxxxxxxxxxxx Rxxxxxxx: It has dodged the "gambling" title for so long because they were abusing the "it's not real items, and you technically always get something, so it's not gambling" grey area. That's being closed and companies are furious.

And legitimately so. The US is still fighting the battle that the EU's mostly settled; the only reason it's hitting Second Life is Linden Labs wants their game to continue to be played internationally. To keep that open as an option, they have to make this change, or I doubt they'd be doing it, flat out.

This was all day long for me. Group chats kept popping open with this link, the shrieking began, and then every ten minutes or so someone would post the link again.

She's talking about her Sistercare store on Marketplace, so--at least until September 1st, I'd urge support of that shop, at least, so she can give what she can to the charity.
