thunder only happens when it's raining
At times? Going through my landmark folder gets distinctly odd. Take this trip for instance. This used to be a nightclub.
Now it's a plain of fire and a cave, and the beam-in point? Trapped me half inside a mountain.
This used to be the dearest little frock shop. Now it's the house of some random fur--I know fur, because the welcome mat read, Peace be unto you--but WIPE YOUR PAWS!
And it was some random Jewish fur, and how do I know that? Because the door lintel had a mezuzah affixed to it.
Touching the mezuzah brought me these words:
4. Sh'ma Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai echad. Hear, O Israel: Adonai is our God; Adonai is one. 5. And you shall love Adonai, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your means. 6. And these words, which I command you this day, shall be upon your heart. 7. And you shall teach them to your children, and speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk on the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up. 8. And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for ornaments between your eyes. 9. And you shall inscribe them upon the doorposts of your house and upon your gates. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 [1]
13. And it will be, if you hearken to My commandments that I command you this day, to love Adonai, your God, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14. I will give the rain of your land at its time, the early rain and the latter rain, and you will gather in your grain, your wine, and your oil. 15. And I will give grass in your field for your livestock, and you will eat and be sated. 16. Beware, lest your heart be misled, and you turn away and worship strange gods and prostrate yourselves before them. 17. And the wrath of Adonai will be kindled against you, and He will close off the heavens, and there will be no rain, and the ground will not give its produce, and you will perish quickly from upon the good land that Adonai gives you. 18. And you shall set these words of Mine upon your heart and upon your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand and they shall be a reminder between your eyes. 19. And you shall teach them to your children to speak with them, when you sit in your house, and when you walk on the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 20. And you shall inscribe them upon the doorposts of your house and upon your gates, 21. in order that your days may increase and the days of your children, on the land which Adonai swore to your ancestors to give them, as the days of heaven above the earth. Deuteronomy 11:13-21 [2]
Articles of faith in the new world. Mine or not, I'm liking this.
And back we go to random landmark perusal....I'm just hoping tonight for a lack of FIRE, frankly.

There is no train. That's why it's real. In RL, I put words together with other words and fabric together with other fabrics, and sew everything together. Married in two worlds, mostly happy in two worlds, shrine maiden of Belopa in my off time (watch, uh, this for, uh...explanation??). Sarcasm is more than a hobby, it's closer to a lifelong avocation.

in this town we call home..
Hmm?
Well, yes, but that came later. This was more wandering around.
I know what you mean, adelphe. I sent my cousin to get herself a free Greek outfit from Olympus, and she found herself in some urban-jungle scene where apparently three all-female gangs (regulars vs. furries vs. elves?) fight over... something and take all men as slaves. Unsettling. What happened to the landscape and the Doric columns...?!
*smiles*
You might want to try Roma, though I don't know if that will help. And Better Living has what they call togas, but...they're more like silks.
Which would fit in with Olympus, though that sounds odd. Urban Panthers? I thought all the Panthers were found in Gor...
