Anyway, this is the last of it. Same rules as yesterday: Rosa Rolls is listed, of course, in orange (I thought it apropos), with all creators barring Lindens or creators of very early free objects in red (people like Gene Replacement and names ending in Linden I've put in blue). And keep in mind I'm still missing objects; for example, all the sculpted textures, and all the offerings of premade prim furnishings, list Rosa Rolls as creator, not just owner.

So, today and yesterday, and of course barring prim/sculpted/single-box vendor items, that all say Rosa Rolls as sole creator--these are the people, free texture mavens, Lindens, and texture store owners alike, that Rolls is ripping off.
Here's where the story gets odd. Miss Rolls has been around in world since early October, 2006. Far and away old enough to know better. Plus, if her profile can be believed, she owns sims! More than a few. In addition, she's management in a few land groups, most of them owned by her friends (though only a few of THOSE names show up in boxes she's selling).
So what the hell is going on? Did Rolls receive these as freebies, and just didn't realize she wasn't supposed to resell them? (Save for the couple I found that specifically say in the Description line do not sell these...) Maybe she doesn't speak English? (Save her profile and every group I checked that she runs is in English...) Is she just a jerk out to make a fast buck? (But then why not just resell freebies, why sell ripped textures at all at that point?)
It's confusing. But there it is, all the names and makers that could be found. AXEI Foley and madddyyy Schnook have been contacted by another person, but most of these were made by people who are no longer in SL, and thus, they can't be contacted.
It's confusing, I won't lie.
In other news--through no direct intent--I have not uploaded any textures today. Though I did close ISC due to all the Step Up! bleating that was going on. There's only so much my nerves can take, and I'd rather disconnect than protest, frankly. Protest on this issue solves nothing; dances and bonfires have nothing to do with education; and I still loathe the logo of the organization. Therefore.
Just out of sheer spite, I will admit, if I had product ready to upload, I so would. But I don't. So I'm not bothering.
Still, if the rah-rah stuph keeps up, I may well be selling off my section of Morgaine and contemplating investing in some other private estate. I'll keep the flagship store in Penzance, but the rest of everything is steadily ceasing to be worth it.

I am filing a dmca today for removal of my textures and Axei foley has already done so today.

I still need to check out the place in Breem; there's someone who might still be operating there, who's reselling textures not theirs.
Admittedly (especially as part of my business is texture-based, too), Wyvern Drake's words are echoing with me: "It's getting so I don't even want to make textures anymore."
And it still kills me that she had boxes of no-trans textures--that said in the box description they were no-trans textures! What is the point of selling a texture no-trans??
I am really puzzled about this. We had someone selling freebie books in a shop outside Caledon, and a bunch were from the Library. When confronted, the response was "If it is possible, it must be permissible".
Several ARs were filed, but once again, most of the creators were long gone from the grid. Even though the creator says "this is a freebie" or "not for resale" it seems to be unenforced - or unenforcable?
And the problem is not so much the new prevalence of folks doing this, it's that nearly everyone one speaks with on the topic seems to hold the same concept--if it was released full permissions, then anyone can do anything they want with it.
Cases like Darien Caldwell's release of all her products on the grid aside (she says she releases all rights to the content, other creators can do what they wish with it at will; but I still think it would be tacky to reproduce her former content to sell), there seems to be mass confusion on the whole permissions issue at large. If I create something, and I put it out gratis, I am still expecting that to be my content; but, according to gridwide understanding, it seems to be, it's mine, sure, but when someone else picks it up, it's theirs.
And that attitude is very much on the unnerving side.
