sink me in the river at dawn

The last demo box! THE LAST ONE! And it's from Stringer Mausoleum.

(from the Hair Fair album)

So this is the "Dreadcorn"...I'm not sure why you'd want a spiral horn the color of your dreads coming out of your forehead, but hey, ours is not to reason why.

(from the Hair Fair album)

And it's surprisingly long in back. This is shown in "Shrittlefit". Yes, apparently that's an actual color.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is...uh...blinding. Also "Editorial". And it's...uh...hmm.

(from the Hair Fair album)

Well, big, for one thing. Really big. Though I could see this on a runway somewhere.

(from the Hair Fair album)

So it's Möbius hair, then?

(from the Hair Fair album)

At least it seems to be, but it does draw the eye, definitely. This shade, of course, is called "Smoke".

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is "Hammeredhead", because, even though they look like little mushrooms all lined up to make a Mohawk, they're actually hugely large nails hammered into my skull. How...festive.

(from the Hair Fair album)

And here it is from the back. The shade is "Molten".

(from the Hair Fair album)

And this is stunningly weird. It's also the "Troiian Empress" style, and wau, that's a horn-span a yak would be proud of.

(from the Hair Fair album)

There's more horn protrusions on the back, even if the three largest off the skull make it look a little jester-y. Or maybe that's just the "Insanico" shade they're in.

(from the Hair Fair album)

In case there's just not enough flailing for your liking, Ms. Stringer's taken care of that. Here you go!

(from the Hair Fair album)

A separate attachment that will flail wildly at anyone within three feet of you. Because that's how you roll, baby. Or...something like that.

(from the Hair Fair album)

And our last one is called "Vampire's Mistress", which seems to be a Mohawk made less of hair, and more of skulls and feathers. There's a little bit of alpha flicker on the feathers, which detracts a bit.

(from the Hair Fair album)

But look! Actual visible hair bits in back! The shade, of course, is "Chocolate".

You can find Stringer Mausoleum in Cloud, and thank you, friends and neighbors, that's all the hair demos I got! (I'm looking at YOU, Bizarre Hair. Where were YOUR demos, huh??)

(The dress is Angelwing's old stock, her "Sunset Dreams" dress in Black. I forbore shoes and stockings due to the length of the dress. Eyes are from Saturnine Dreams, from her "Spider" set--these are the "Charcoal" ones. No idea if she's still running her closing sale; hit the SLUrl and find out, I guess. The skin's old stock from Nomine; I have no idea if it would still be somewhere in the main store, but if you want to look, it's the "Nomine China White 13 - 22" skin.)

now, I'm of consenting age to be forgetting you in a cabaret

(from the Hair Fair album)

We're up to Tableau Vivant, and "Boccaccio"--unsure of the color, because I flipped up the "Spring" HUD for this style, and it didn't work.

(from the Hair Fair album)

And this is the back, showing the wrap of the braid and the barrette that secures it.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is "Harlow", and for whatever reason, the "Monsoon" HUD worked, so...yay?

(from the Hair Fair album)

It's very similar to the previous style, except for the...tentacle hair aspects.

(from the Hair Fair album)

And this is the back, standard center part, draped over each shoulder.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is "Scarborough", with the "Summer" HUD, and the included head alpha layer didn't seem to help. I could adjust it a little, which means it could be resized, potentially. At least on the full-price version.

(from the Hair Fair album)

From the back there's a bit more visual interest, as it's a casual, wispy updo with lots of hair strands of varying lengths.

(from the Hair Fair album)

And this is "Teichmann", and while the HUDs provided did work, too, I liked the shading out of the box, so kept it.

(from the Hair Fair album)

And of course, from the back.

You can find Tableau Vivant in Harbour.

(The dress is Angelwing's old stock, her "Sunset Dreams" dress in Black. I forbore shoes and stockings due to the length of the dress. Eyes are from Saturnine Dreams, from her "Spider" set--these are the "Charcoal" ones. No idea if she's still running her closing sale; hit the SLUrl and find out, I guess. for the conviction, for the purpose found

(from the Hair Fair album)

Now we're at Slink, and the first style in the box is "Bianca", in Caramel, and not for the first time I'm finding that the patterns I really fall for in some hair demos are not actually part of the full-price hair. I think this is something that's bound to happen when you print or run horizontal lines over the hair texture in the demos.

(from the Hair Fair album)

Still, it's a pretty cut, it must be admitted.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is "Constance" in Caramel--all the demos are in Caramel--and wau, does this hair go with this dress.

(from the Hair Fair album)

Not as fond of it in back, but still, pretty.

(from the Hair Fair album)

Up next is "Heather" in Caramel, and this one looks a little less like hair, and more like a golden velvet slouch hat. With, err, curls.

(from the Hair Fair album)

From the back it's even more obvious; these don't look like strands of hair, just a hair-shaped shaped fabric mass.

(from the Hair Fair album)

"Marling" is a similar style, but for some reason, it looks like hair.

(from the Hair Fair album)

From the back I can even detect separate strands, so yeah, no idea what's going on with "Heather".

(from the Hair Fair album)

And "Tiffany" is a short undercurled bob. Pretty, simple, flattering.

(from the Hair Fair album)

And from the back.

You can find Slink in Brickness.

25 July, 2013

run through the moss on high heels

(from the Hair Fair album)

Now we're up to Loovus Dzevavor, and this is "Bose Reloaded". It's essentially several big donuts of hair over a tattoo hairbase.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This shows the back, which is mostly the hairbase, with the donuts atop the scalp.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is "H&Y Co.". (This uses the included "Ditzie 3" base; the two shots above used the "Noir 2" base.)

It's also effectively bipolar, with being close-cropped to the scalp and gelled completely into submission on one side, with huge massive donuts of hair on the other side (also quite likely gelled completely into submission).

(from the Hair Fair album)

And this is the view from the back (well, and part of the side).

(from the Hair Fair album)

There's an optional side-fall mesh attachment that goes with this, if you like a little length.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This shows a bit of the attachment point, and the back.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is "ModMoore", and...I'm sorry, it just looks like I'm wearing a soft meringue on my head.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is the meringue from the back. It uses the included "Blanc 4" hairbase.

You can find Loovus Dzevavor in Cloud.

And we're down to three demo boxes left! So that's only two or three more entries! Yay!

(The skin is called "Kaylee" in 'Tone2', and it's from AIMI Skin Store. I believe it was a freebie. I'm wearing it with the "Faded Love" lips in 'Caramel', from Glamorize. The eyes are IKON's "Light Arabian Blue" eyes [size M], which were a group gift some months back. The outfit's part of the "Military" corset dress from Shade Designs, which I'm wearing with the "Military" knee-high boots in 'Khaki' from Drakke Designs.)

morning, keep the streets empty for me

(from the Hair Fair album)

Okay, I am DETERMINED to get through all these demos this year. So we're up to Hairoin, and this is "Dawn", which is actually quite stunning.

(from the Hair Fair album)

It's a pretty simple upswept wrap, but then it's got that hair flower on the side, and that really draws the eye.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is "Sparrow", and it's a lovely feathered pixie cut with a contrasting longer bang section.

(from the Hair Fair album)

From the back it looks very Jack Frost. (And, by the way, Kazeki did a lovely job on that painting.)

(from the Hair Fair album)

And here's "Bastion", and why yes, I bought this one, because it was too weird and huge not to. From the front it's almost a hair-based medieval hennin without the veiling...

(from the Hair Fair album)

...but from the back, it's almost like huge, billowing hair wings. It's a very fantastical style. I have no idea where I'm going to wear it.

Not shown: "Arista", a casual high pony, and "Fiona", another updo. You'll find Hairoin in Brickness.

(from the Hair Fair album)

Next up: Heartless, and this is "Emmett", which features dead-level bangs and a very high wrapped pony.

(from the Hair Fair album)

It's pretty, don't get me wrong, but something about the way the ponytail lays over the shoulder makes me think of Twi'leks.

(from the Hair Fair album)

This is "Silver". Maybe it's just something about their mesh.

(from the Hair Fair album)

It looks sinuous, as if it's about to start moving on its own.

Not shown: "Hazel", which was very similar to "Emmett". You can find Heartless in the Harbour sim.

(The skin is called "Kaylee" in 'Tone2', and it's from AIMI Skin Store. I believe it was a freebie. I'm wearing it with the "Faded Love" lips in 'Caramel', from Glamorize. hide away, they say, 'cos we don't want your broken parts

Yeah, so...remember that thing I was recovering from? You know, last year ? Yeah. I did it again. So this is Em Faw Down Go Boom part ...
